About Us
Statistics
From the 2010 Annual Report: 362 parishioners, 203 households. Average Sunday attendance about 100. Annual budget about $185,000. 2 incumbent clergy, 1 vocational deacon, 2 ordained priests serving as honourary assistants, 3 wardens, 8 vestry members, 20 children in Godly Play/Youth Group (6 leaders), 15 Pastoral Caregivers, 10 Anglican Church Women (ACW) members. 20 readers, 7 intercessors, 12 Licenced Communion Assistants, 6 servers, 23 greeters, 4 sound system operators, 9 collection counters. Lots of people have more than one duty. Lots of people don't do any of the listed ministries but are very involved in God's work in other ways. Lots of people just come to the services and like it that way. To each his own!
The Real Story
There are lots of ministries and committees within the church, enabling each member to be involved (or not) at their own comfort level. We also have several study groups each year. There's a Prayer Group that meets every Tuesday from 1:30-2:30 from September til June. There's a Ladies Stitch and Chatter group the first and third Monday. The ACW meets regularly and caters teas and lunches to raise money for worthy causes. The Altar Guild looks after the altar and all the church linens. The Order of St. Luke holds a healing prayer service the first Sunday of each month, alternating with Central Lutheran Church. Parish members deliver Meals on Wheels two weeks a year. This is a partial list of the many things we're involved in. Come see for yourself!
